Our Story

About AlHudah

A platform built not to replace the scholar, but to remove every barrier between you and the Word of Allah.

Our Mission

إِنَّ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ

"Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most suitable." — Al-Isra 17:9

AlHudah — الهدى — means "the guidance." It is the name we chose deliberately, knowing the weight it carries. This platform exists for one reason: to make the Quran accessible, beautiful, and deeply understood for every person who approaches it, regardless of language, background, or level of knowledge.

We are living in a time when the Quran has never been more available yet — paradoxically — never harder to sit with. Notifications pull us away. Translations feel clinical. Tafsir is locked behind volumes in Arabic. AlHudah is our answer: a single place where the Arabic text, trusted translations, classical scholarly commentary, and intelligent search come together in an experience that respects both the sacredness of the text and the realities of modern life.

What We Stand For

Principles, not promises

أمانة
Scholarly Integrity
Every translation and tafsir excerpt on AlHudah is attributed to its scholar. We do not paraphrase, simplify, or editorialize classical texts. If something is a scholarly position, it is presented as one.
وضوح
Clarity by Design
The reading experience is built around the text, not around engagement metrics. No pop-ups mid-surah. No autoplay. No dark patterns. Clean, fast, and respectful of your attention.
خدمة
Service Over Commerce
AlHudah does not run ads and does not sell your data. Core features are free. Premium tiers exist solely to fund the infrastructure needed to keep the platform available globally, at no cost to those who cannot afford it.

What AlHudah Offers

The full Quran in Arabic with tashkeel (diacritics), presented in a reading environment designed to reduce friction and increase focus. More than 50 verified translations spanning English, Urdu, French, Malay, Turkish, and other major languages — all sourced from recognised scholarly works.

Classical tafsir from scholars including Ibn Kathir, Al-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, Al-Sa'di, and others, cross-linked at the ayah level. An AI-powered semantic search that understands questions, themes, and concepts — not just keyword matches — so you can ask "what does the Quran say about patience in hardship?" and receive contextually grounded results with source references.

Reading progress, bookmarks, and personal notes sync across your devices when you sign in. Everything is built on open standards: no proprietary apps required, accessible on any browser.
